Perps

Perpetual futures — perps — track an asset’s price with no expiry, long or short, with leverage. Polydict trades them on two venues, Polymarket and Hyperliquid, from the same sign-in.

Two venues

The venue switch at the top of the Perps screen chooses between Polymarket (the default) and Hyperliquid. They are separate exchanges with separate accounts, balances and fees.

PolymarketCrypto, stocks, commodities and indices.
HyperliquidCrypto on its main exchange, plus stocks, commodities, and indices and FX on third-party (HIP-3) exchanges.

Leverage and margin

The maximum leverage is set by each venue, per market, and the ticket’s slider runs from 1× to that maximum. Leverage multiplies gains and losses alike.

  • Polymarket offers Cross or Isolated margin, Cross by default.
  • Hyperliquid orders from Polydict always use cross margin.

Orders and closing

  • Market orders carry a protective limit 3% from the mark on Hyperliquid. On Polymarket the mark is re-read as you submit, and if it has moved more than 3% against you, nothing is sent.
  • Limit orders rest until they fill or you cancel them.
  • Closing only ever reduces the position — there is no reduce-only switch to forget. Hyperliquid closes in steps of a quarter; Polymarket uses a percentage slider.
  • Minimums: Hyperliquid refuses orders under about $10 of notional; Polymarket uses each market’s own minimum.

The liquidation estimate

Before you trade, the ticket shows Liquidation (est.): an estimate from this order’s margin alone, using the venue’s published maintenance rate, after the opening fee. For large positions above the venue’s first risk tier it shows Margin gone by instead — the price at which the margin would be fully used up. In cross margin your other funds and positions move the real figure, and the ticket says so.

Once a position is open, the chart draws the venue’s own liquidation price as a solid amber Liq. line, and a dotted Breakeven line at the price that covers the round-trip trading fee (funding not included). If the liquidation price is off the visible chart, an amber chip at that edge points to it, as in ↓ Liq $… · −…%, measured from the mark price.

Risk

Leveraged trading can liquidate your full margin. The estimate is a guide, not the venue’s number; the venue’s own liquidation price is the one that counts.

Fees

HyperliquidThe ticket shows Hyperliquid fee · x% at your account’s own rate (signed out, the base rate, marked base). If the rate cannot be read, the row says unavailable — never $0.
Polydict on Hyperliquid0.03% of notional, shown as Polydict fee · 0.03%, on opens and closes — only if you approved it during Enable trading.
PolymarketPolymarket’s own taker fee for the market’s category, from its live fee schedule. The ticket notes that Polydict adds no fee.

The invite code

Connecting to Polymarket perps asks for an optional invite code. Left blank, Polydict’s own code is applied, and Polymarket shares part of its fee with Polydict. You can enter a friend’s code instead, or connect without one. A code is set once per account and cannot be changed afterwards.

Take-profit and stop-loss

Set TP and SL on the ticket or on an open position. They go to the venue as trigger orders that only reduce the position, so they work with Polydict closed. Presets are set by return on margin, and each shows its estimate after the round-trip fee. A trigger must sit on the right side of the price.

  • Hyperliquid fills a trigger as a market order, up to 3% past the trigger price. TP/SL is not offered on a limit entry there.
  • Polymarket accepts TP/SL on a limit entry; they wait until it fills. If the entry fills but the venue refuses the TP/SL, the ticket tells you both.

The Odds rail

Beside the chart, the Odds rail shows Polymarket’s own prediction market on the same asset — “above ___ on <date>” — as a ladder of price levels, each with the crowd’s chance. Tags mark the level nearest the current price (≈ NOW) and your TP, SL and liquidation (LIQ). The ticket can add a Crowd row with the chance the price is past your liquidation level at that market’s time.

“Price at a moment, not a touch. Shown only when the ladder is liquid.” Each chance is for the price being beyond a level at that market’s settlement time, not for touching it along the way. Prices are live while under 30 seconds old; older ones are muted and show their age.

Funding your perps account

PolymarketpUSD moves between your prediction balance and your perps account on the same chain, with no gas. In: at least 10 pUSD. Out: what is withdrawable, back to your trading wallet.
HyperliquidYour prediction balance is bridged to your signing wallet on Arbitrum, then deposited, which needs a little Arbitrum ETH; at least 5 USDC. Out: no gas, minus Hyperliquid’s 1 USDC withdrawal fee.

Margin held by open positions cannot be moved out. Your perps accounts are tied to wallets derived from your sign-in, so the same account opens on every device. Deposits and withdrawals has the detail.

Who signs a perps order

On both venues, Enable trading asks your wallet to approve a trading-only key that your browser keeps. After that, orders, leverage changes and cancels go through without a popup each time. The key cannot withdraw, and Polydict’s servers never hold it. Deposits, withdrawals and the approval itself are signed by your own wallet.

Nothing trades perps for you. No key is ever held on a server for perps; perps rules, when they come, will wait for your signature on every trade, and the assistant can only fill in the ticket for you to submit.
