Your account and wallets

Polydict is non-custodial: your money sits in wallets your sign-in controls, and moving it takes your signature. This page names each wallet, and says exactly what Polydict can and cannot do with it.

Non-custodial, in practice

The keys to your wallet are held by Privy, the wallet provider, and are never sent to Polydict. Polydict does not take custody of your money. Deposits, withdrawals and transfers are signed by your own wallet; prediction-market orders are signed on your device; perps orders are signed by a trading-only key your wallet approved.

Many actions are gasless. For those, Polydict passes the transaction you signed to Polymarket’s relayer, which pays the network fee. Before passing it on, Polydict checks that it is for a wallet you own, and it refuses requests that would manage trading keys.

The signing wallet

When you sign in, Privy creates an embedded wallet for your account: “a wallet only you control, made for this sign-in. No seed phrase to write down.” Everyone gets one, including people who sign in with a wallet of their own, because this is the wallet that signs your trades. Profile shows it as Privy (EOA).

One account can hold more than one embedded wallet. Polydict always uses the oldest, on every device, so your addresses do not change from one device to the next.

Exporting the key

Profile › Account › Export private key opens Privy’s own window. Polydict never sees the key.

Risk

Anyone with this key controls your funds. Never share it or paste it into another site.

The trading wallet

Your trading balance and your positions sit in a trading wallet that your signing wallet controls. New accounts get a Polymarket deposit wallet. Some older accounts keep the Safe they already had; Polydict never creates a new Safe.

Setup creates the deposit wallet and allows Polymarket’s exchange to trade your pUSD and shares. Polymarket’s relayer pays the gas.

Upgrade, for older Safe accounts

Upgrade moves a Safe account to a deposit wallet and carries your balance and positions across. It appears only when Polymarket refuses orders from the Safe, or when your account already has a deposit wallet from another device.

Money in your signing wallet is not tradeable until it is in the trading wallet. Profile › Your money shows where each part of your balance is.

Which wallet each venue uses

Prediction markets, CombosYour trading wallet.
Polymarket perpsYour deposit wallet; on older Safe accounts, your signing wallet. Never the Safe.
HyperliquidYour signing wallet, as a separate Hyperliquid account.

Each of these is derived from your sign-in, never read back from one device’s storage, so the same perps account opens on every device and in every app.

What Polydict can and cannot do

Polydict cannot

  • see or use your signing wallet’s private key;
  • withdraw, transfer or move your money without your signature;
  • reverse a transaction once it is on-chain.

Polydict can

  • read your balances and positions, which are public on-chain and at the venues;
  • pass your signed transactions to Polymarket’s relayer, so you pay no gas;
  • hold a trading key you chose to create for an automated strategy, which can place and cancel orders and nothing else (see below). This is in a closed test.

Keys on your device, for perps

Both perps venues use a trading-only key that your wallet approves once and your browser keeps, so orders, leverage changes and cancels go through without a popup each time. It cannot withdraw, and Polydict’s servers never hold it. Polymarket’s lasts 7 days. Deposits, withdrawals and the approval itself are always signed by your own wallet.

Trading keys for automated strategies

Not open yet

Automated strategies, and the trading keys they run on, are in a closed test and are not open to most accounts. This is how they work, so you know before they open. Strategies and Settle.

If you turn a strategy on, Polydict generates a separate trading key (a Polymarket “session key”) on its server, and you authorize it for your deposit wallet with a signature from your own wallet. Safe accounts cannot use one.

  • What it can do. Place and cancel orders on Polymarket’s order book for that wallet, and nothing else. Polymarket does not let it withdraw or transfer. It can trade, though, so anyone holding it could lose money for you through bad trades.
  • How it is stored. Encrypted (AES-256-GCM), with the encryption key kept apart from the database. It is never sent to your browser.
  • How long it lasts. Up to about 180 days from when you authorize it, unless you end it sooner.
  • Pause. Cancels the strategy’s open orders and deletes Polydict’s copy of the key at once. The key itself stays valid on Polymarket until it expires or you revoke it.
  • Revoke. Ends the key on Polymarket itself. It needs your wallet’s signature, so only you can do it.

Perps never get one: no trading key is held on a server for perps, on either venue. The Privacy Policy describes the same key in its section 2.

Your profile and settings

  • Appearance (saved on this device): theme Dark or Light; Yes and No colours Quiet, Classic or Colour-blind; and which colour means up, Green up or Red up. Red up changes direction only — prices and P&L. Yes and No keep their own colours.

  • Notifications appear under the bell: announcements from Polydict and, for Polymarket perps, your fills, cancels and liquidation warnings.
