The AI assistant (Ask)

Ask is Polydict’s assistant. It reads markets and your own positions, and drafts trades and alerts for you to review. It cannot place, sign or send an order, or move, transfer or withdraw money — there is no tool for it.

Who can use it

Every reply costs a model call, so Ask opens to accounts gradually. It lives in the Strategies tab; if it is not open to your account yet, the Ask section says so.

When it is open to you, the Strategies overview also shows a Describe a strategy bar that fills in a draft for Ask. It never sends anything by itself.

What it reads

  • Markets, games and events on Polymarket;
  • perps markets on both venues;
  • your own open positions, your perps accounts and your alerts.

What it drafts

Ask can draft a prediction-market trade, a Combo, a perps order or a price alert, as a card. A trade card opens in the app’s own ticket, with the fees shown, and you press the button yourself — or don’t. Drafts have hard ceilings whatever the model asks for, such as at most 8 legs in a drafted Combo.

“Prices are probabilities. It says ‘expected’ and names the risk; it never promises a return.”

What it cannot do

  • place, sign or send an order;
  • move, transfer, withdraw or redeem money.

These are absences, not settings: the assistant has no tool that does any of them, and a check in Polydict’s code fails if one is ever added.

Free messages and credits

You get 5 free messages a day by default. A message is one question and its answer; opening the tab, your briefing and your alerts are free. The count resets at 00:00 UTC.

After the free messages, a reply draws on AI credit if your account has any; if not, it waits for the next reset. There is no way to buy credit in the app today. If a daily spending limit is reached, the assistant pauses for everyone for the rest of that day.

Price alerts

Ask can set a price alert on a market. An alert fires once, notifies you in the app and on Telegram, and can carry a drafted trade for you to review. It never trades. You can have up to 20 active at a time. Alerts come with Ask, so they open with it.

Good to know

The alerts on Analytics are different: they run in your browser while the Alerts tool is open, and show as browser notifications.

Generate forecast

The Generate forecast button on a market page is separate from Ask. Any signed-in user can use it, it does not use your free messages, and its result is labelled a model estimate, not financial advice. It is not offered on crypto Up or Down windows.
